Two years later, Connor is ready to bring to light a side of himself he’s rarely shown on or off camera. In this diary-like look at his life since A Work in Progress, Connor talks about his battles with clinical depression, social anxiety, self-love, and acceptance; his desire to maintain an authentic self in a world that values shares and likes over true connections; his struggles with love and loss; and his renewed efforts to be in the moment—with others and himself.
Told through short essays, letters to his past and future selves, poetry, and original photography, Note to Self is a raw, in-the-moment look at the fascinating interior life of a young creator turning inward in order to move forward.

You may know Connor Franta from his YouTube or Instagram channels — each of which have over 5 million followers. (Reminder: He won “Favorite YouTube Star” at this year’s Teen Choice Awards.) But now, the 24-year-old entrepreneur is making a name for himself in the fashion world, with a new collaboration between Urban Outfitters and his own line, Common Culture which launched Wednesday.
“My brand Common Culture is collaborating with Urban Outfitters,” Franta tells PEOPLE about the partnership. “I’ve been a big fan of Urban Outfitters for a long time and it was always kind of like the epitome of fashion growing up in small-town Minnesota, so to work with them is a total dream, and it just came about about 6-8 months ago. It was one of those things that just got us both in the room. I was like, ‘get us both in the room, and we’ll figure out a way to collaborate.’”
And so they did! All proceeds from Franta’s line, which consists of a t-shirt, two sweatshirts and two baseball caps, will be donated to GLSEN, a non-profit organization championing LGBTQ youth in schools. And the pieces are selling quickly, so make sure head over to Urban Outfitters before they’re sold out.
With over 5.5 million subscribers, YouTube star Connor Franta is no stranger to the online world. Being a public figure, Connor gets a lot of negativity thrown his way, he chooses to deal with it by staying positive, and uses his platform to preach positivity to his followers.
